RandallScottProjects in association with FOTOFilm will be mounting a special exhibition by New York based photographer/Filmmaker Khalik Allah May 8-10th to coincide with the screening of Allah's documentary "Field Niggas" at the Maryland Film Festival. Allah's exhibition will be held at AREA 405 and consist of photographs and films taken over a 3 year period Allah was documenting the people who occupy 125th and Lexington in Harlem. "Field NIggas" a term taken from a speech by Malcolm X, describes the marginalized homeless and the disenfranchised people who live, wander or congregate around the corner of 125th and Lexington in Harlem.
Meg Hitchcock will be included in an upcoming group exhibition at MASS MoCA. Bibliothecaphilia opens on January 24th and includes Clayton Cubitt, Jonathan Gitelson, Susan Hefuna, Dan Peterman, and Jena Priebe.
Meg's first solo show at RSP opens in Baltimore on Jan 10th and the gallery will present a solo booth of Meg's new work at the Art on Paper art fair in New York opening on March 5th.

James Busby is included in a group exhibition "Forms of Abstraction" at Simon Dickenson in London. He is joined on a list of some of the most important painters of the past 60 years. James also is included in the inaugural exhibition After Space at Loyal Gallery in Stockholm, Sweden

There is a wonderful article on Meg Hitchcock in Studio International that discusses her text based artworks. We will be exhibiting these in September and at the Art Market San Francisco Art Fair in May.
The gallery has just booked the wonderful Ruby Osorio for our June exhibition. Ruby first showed with RandallScottProjects when it was Randall Scott Gallery back in 2007. This exhibition will feature new work on paper and is not to be missed. Check her out here.
RandallScottProjects is excited to be showing Meg Hitchcock's way cool text collages in September. If you have not seen these...Meg weaves together spiritual traditions by cutting up the text of holy books, letter by letter, and refiguring them to create passages from other holy books. Chris Anthony's new book "Seas Without a Shore" is now available on his website and at the gallery. He has several different editions of the book, it's beautiful and Chris designed and oversaw the printing himself. Check it out here.
James Busby has a solo show in NY at Kravetz Wehby Gallery. The work looks wonderful. He will have a new solo exhibition in DC in September.
