Griffith’s images meld traditional photographic process with a precisionist’s sense of design and composition, while deconstructing the very elements that make up our culture and industry. His imagery is drawn from the everyday object, overseen to the extent of going unnoticed in passing.

Christopher Griffith trained to be a research biochemist in the field of genetic engineering before quitting four months shy of his PhD to take up photography. He has spent eight years in Europe working for Arena, Wallpaper, and the international editions of Vogue and Elle. Upon his return to the U.S. he spent four months on the road photographing “States.”
